Michael Block
Michael Block is the Head of Private Capital at OMERS, where he leads a global team of investors across a diverse set of private investment strategies.
Michael has held senior roles at OMERS for a decade, overseeing investments in public and private market, asset allocation and overall strategy. He currently serves on the Board of Dialpad, a leading AI-powered customer intelligence platform, and has previously sat on the boards of TouchBistro and LifeLabs. Prior to joining OMERS, Michael was a Principal at the Boston Consulting Group in Toronto and Stockholm, where he worked across several industries on a range of strategic projects.
Michael holds an HBA from the Ivey Business School.
Michael is passionate about giving back to the community and is a long-time participant and ambassador for the Princess Margaret’s Ride to Conquer Cancer. He is also a dedicated supporter of the Ivey Business School and has worked with several non-profit organizations on their strategic planning.
